Iero of Apollo

It is a locality of enormous historical interest with a lot of buildings, as temples, gym, chamber of deputies, theatre and more. Also it included big variety of statues. Today you can visit only two christian churches of the 5th A.D. century because the Iero of Apollo was destroyed the first Christian centuries. It is found on the road between Chorio and Panormos.

Damos Settlement

Ancient settlement of the 4th - 3rd B.C. century with appreciable discoveries. Distinguish residences, laboratories and part of the protecting walls . It is found on the road between Chora and Elies.

Hellenistic fortres Embola

It is a big Hellenistic fortress of the 4th - 3rd B.C. century in the location called Embola. It can be visited at Vathis Village.

Ellinika settlement

The settlement Ellinika as is the name is dated the 11th A.D. century. Is saved in very good conditoin. At Ellinika you can also visit the Byzantine temple of Virgin Mary Kyra-Hosti. It is found at Rina.

Castle of Hrysoheria

Castle of 15th A.D. century built from the knights of Saint John. Only the walls are saved and none of the internal buildings. It is found on the road between Pothia and the Chora.

Castle of Chora

Byzantine castle in the region of Chora. It was built the 11th A.D. century and took his final form at the 15th A.D. century. In his interior is saved in almost excellent situation the settlement that can entertain above 1000 individuals.
